Learning to Teach and Learn

Although this is my third year of official teaching, I am having all of the struggles and learning curves of the first-year teacher. This is my first year of official class room teaching at a California public school, and it is an interesting contrast to the funding and freedom of the private school system from which I come. Please don't get me wrong--this is exactly the adventure I need every three years or so! It is my hope that I may utilize this page as a discussion forum for teachers, new and veteran, to share ideas and experiences in today's academic culture. At my current site, I have several resources available--the best of which are the experience and expertise of lauded veteran teachers. However, I feel lacking in current materials and ideas, and I find myself creating a lot. With that, I look forward with high hopes to discourse and collaboration. Whether you are a new teacher sharing your questions and conundrums, or an experienced teacher offering your advice, please consider posting to this site!
